Master class on making rolled candles

We invite you to the workshop, where you will have the opportunity to make a beeswax candle by yourself using one of the oldest methods of creation.

Rolling is one of the oldest and most common ways of making them in the territory of Ukraine. It was in this way that wedding and Christmas candles were made, which had a special meaning for the family. These were a kind of charms that were used in the most important moments of life.

Only natural materials are used for their production: beeswax and decor from herbs or dried flowers. During the creation of a candle, the wax takes the heat of the hands of its creators and gives it back during burning.

The process of making rolled candles is completely safe, so it is suitable for both adults and children. Working with wax reveals creativity and imagination in the participants. Each candle is unique.

Honey candle rolling is relaxation, enjoyment of creativity, aromatherapy and a great way to relax and switch gears. According to the feedback of the participants, this is their personal form of meditation.

At the workshop we:

• let's make a rolled candle in a slightly modernized way compared to how it was done a hundred years ago
• let's talk about the place and significance of rolled candles in the everyday life and beliefs of Ukrainians
• we will learn about the powers and properties of plants with which we will decorate candles
• let's enjoy the process of working with warm wax, feeling the incomparably intoxicating honey-floral aroma of beeswax, and you can keep the ready-made candle for yourself or give it to your loved ones

• 1 candle of your own shape, which you will create yourself
