The pattern of the pysanka was created in collaboration with the pysanka maker Anna Kotlina, who has been creating her own and reproducing traditional patterns in pysankas and etchings for 17 years.
This pattern is a wish to always feel connected to past generations. Thanks to them, we live now, we have a solid foundation for our family tree to flourish now and for future generations.
It has the size of a regular chicken egg and fully conveys the ancient Ukrainian tradition of decorating eggs for Easter, because when pysanka makers painted pysankas, each pattern was filled with meaning and wishes for the person to whom this pysanka would be given.
The white pysanka contains a yellow center, like a real chicken egg.
