The candle is decorated with a pattern inspired by Poltava embroidery Tree of Life. This pattern is a universe in which every creature has its own place, where every phenomenon is subject to rules. This image combines ideas about time, space, life and death.
Deer live here, which are guardians of the truth and guides of the souls of the dead. Roosters (symbols of the light that overcame darkness) and birds (symbols of human souls both living and those who have already flown away) conveniently placed themselves on the branches of the tree.
This candle is a tribute to those who are no longer with us but are always near. By lighting it, we let them know that we continue to live with them, thanks to them and for their sake.
The symbols, with which we decorate candles, belong to ancient Ukrainian culture. Live in embroidered shirts, Easter eggs and pysankas, and now received another life in candles, thanks to our craftswomen.
